• To begin an OCA review on a foster care case management, fatality review, or a hotline call that is found unsubstantiated, please fill out a complaint form. If you have any questions, may contact us at our toll free number 866-457-2302.
  • When your complaint is received, it will be reviewed by the Office of Child Advocate to determine if a review will be conducted.
  • Our office will contact the Juvenile Office, Children’s Division, and/or the private contractor to notify them we are opening a review of the case and request records. We will not share your information.
  • We will speak with case participants such as the Juvenile Office and the Guardian Ad Litem and may participate in meetings. We will issue our findings including our agreement or our disagreement with the direction of the case, policy or practice concerns, and any recommendations to the legal parties of the case.
  • We may also request hospital records, law enforcement reports, etc.
